Flyers Charity Classic: How to Earn Personal Incentives & Help a Charity of Choice

One of the most appealing aspects of the upcoming Flyers Charity Classic is that there are some pretty cool incentives available for individual participants and teams to do some of their own fundraising. Here's how it works:

For individually raising $50, the individual will receive a Flyers' ball cap. At $200 raised, the person receives a pair of upper-level tickets to a Flyers' game next season plus a ball cap. At $400, the tickets are upgraded to a pair of lower-level seats plus a ball cap. At $1,000, the person gets a pair of seats in the Flyers Alumni party box at balcony level, a Flyers jersey autographed by numerous Flyers Alumni players plus the ball cap.

Additionally, on a team basis, there is an opportunity to raise funds for a charity of the team's own choosing. Flyers Charities will make a contribution to the team's charity on the following schedule: $500 contribution for $5,000 raised, $1,000 contribution for $10,000 raised, and $1,500 contribution for $1,500 raised. At $20,000 raised, the Flyers Charities contribution increases to $3,000. At $25,000, the contribution from Flyers Charities increases to $5,000 and, at $50,000, the contribution kicks up to $7,500.

Usually, fundraising events solely benefit the organizer's chosen charities. In this case, however, there is an opportunity to get something back beyond having fun at the Charity Classic while raising money for the causes supported by Flyers Charities and the Flyers Alumni Association's drive to assist Snider Hockey in the construction of the future Edward M. Snider Flyers Alumni Rink.
